Christina is passionate about firearms safety with all students. She is knowledgeable and teaches in a safe, fun and encouraging environment. All skill levels are welcome and she can teach anyone who is not a prohibited possessor.
Background
Christina “Cee” is a Rangemaster and Lead Firearms Instructor at a local range. While she did not grow up in a household with firearms, she started her journey hunting with her husband. One day her child awoke her and her husband to inform them of intruders on the property by their back door. This single event spurred her quest for more defensive firearms training. Over the years she has taught countless individuals, started assisting other instructors, volunteered as a Line Safety Officer (LSO) and assisted with classes at a local range. She became a certified firearms instructor with the NRA and the USCCA. Christina founded and incorporated Agave Firearms Training & Defensive Tactics LLC from the ground up. She is also a USA Archery level 1 instructor and a USCCA Training Counselor.
Outside of Agave, she works security at a local church. She is BLS-CPR/AED and ICSAVE/Stop the Bleed certified and has assisted in active shooter training and drills.

Classes & Lessons Descriptions
Basic Intro to Handgun
This course teaches firearm safety rules, firearms ownership responsibilities, parts of a semi-auto and revolver, cartridge components, firing sequence, malfunctions, holsters, and fundamentals: grip, stance, slight alignment, sight pictures, trigger control, hold control, breath control and follow through.
Basic Rifle
This course teaches firearm safety rules, firearms ownership responsibilities, parts of a semi-auto and bolt action single shot rifle, iron sight vs scopes, cartridge components, firing sequence, malfunctions, holsters, and fundamentals: grip, stance, slight alignment, sight pictures, trigger control, hold control, breath control and follow through.
AZ CCW Conceal Carry Weapons Permit Arizona
This course is designed to teach justification and the use of deadly force, disparity of force, protection of property, defense of an innocent third party, interacting with law enforcement, traffic stops while carrying, 911 calls, interacting with law enforcement after defensive actions, what happens in the legal system when someone defends themself with deadly force, where you can and cannot carry, national forest, reservations, state parks, federal building. You will also leave the course with everything you need to file for you AZ CCW, which includes us rolling your fingerprints.
Youth Classes
Any Basic Handgun or Basic Rifle course can be turned into a Youth class. Same great content, just minus any defensive aspects.
Women’s Intro to Handgun
This course is a Basic Handgun course but just for women attendees. This teaches firearm safety rules, firearms ownership responsibilities, parts of a semi-auto and revolver, cartridge components, firing sequence, malfunctions, holsters, and fundamentals: grip, stance, slight alignment, sight pictures, trigger control, hold control, breath control and follow through. We cover some topics that are women specific.
Private Lessons
Private Lessons can be tailored to the individual needs of each student. These can include handgun, rifle, air rifle, shotgun home defense. Lessons can range from basic, intermediate to advanced. Lessons are booked in 70 min blocks. Advanced lessons are booked in 60 min blocks.
Gun Cleaning Parties
This is a fun way to get together and clean your firearms in a fun and relaxed environment. Ask questions about your firearms, learn how to properly clean and maintain them.
Dynamic Defensive Tactics- Pistol
Exposure to Arizona Revised Statutes Title 13 – Criminal Code, including chapter 4 – Justification. Safety protocol briefing to include implementing and practicing of all firearm safety rules at all times, as well as all firearms handling fundamentals review. Instructor and range officer to inspect all firearms to ensure no live ammunition during dry fire period. Dry fire drills to include laser bore training round at 5 yards (15 feet). Shoot / no shoot scenarios. Peripheral view training to identify possible threats from out of direct line of sight focus. Close Quarter Battle (CQB) and Extreme Close Quarter Battle (ECQB) with training gun (Not a real firearm). Live range qualification to include dynamic shoot / no shoot timed drill at 5 and 10 yards (15 and 30 feet) Debriefing afterwards to discuss issues or concerns.
Pass / no pass then certificate of completion awarded to passing students.
